SBS operates with relative autonomy under Hokma House, whose mission it seeks to support. Each member of SBS subscribes to the Hokma mission on the basis of acceptance to membership. This requirement entails, inter alia, according the Bible the unique status it has historically received in the Christian church; for it is indeed this exclusive position that invites at the same time our critical engagement with the Bible, precisely in how it continues to change human lives and shape societies today and well into the future.
